Recreation This site is part of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, where outdoor activities abound. Blue Lake is a beautiful deep-blue 160 acre lake surrounded by ponderosa pine, white fir trees and meadows and is located approximately 15 miles east of Likely, California and 35 miles south of Alturas, California in the South Warner Mountains.
